Sailing Around the World

Many people dream about big adventures like sailing around the world, but only a few transform the dream into reality. Dan and Marlene Reasoner are dreamers and doers! In 2019 they outfitted a 45-foot sailboat and set off from Tolchester Marina in Maryland to sail about the world! Dan and Marlene will share the story of their voyage and what they learned while circumnavigating the globe in their Island Packet 420 sailboat.

Joanne Eisenberg, a long-time resident of Bucks County and artist in various mediums, says “luck” has always been a part of her life. Threading beads lead to high fashion; a playwriting course led to forming Playmates Playwrights who went on to write Ten Minute Plays; a stay with her recently widowed grandmother led to her family genealogy as it involved the Salem Witch Trials. Tonight, she will be sharing “SARAH,” the play and her forthcoming book.

Latinas en Lambertville: How Our Library Created a Sense of Belonging

The library staff will share the story of their successful program for local Hispanic women, which included a 10-week program attended by a steady group of Mexican women. It culminated in Oaxaca Day, where the group showcased their culture through food, music and dance, and was supported by over 100 volunteers including many Kalmia members.
