Inspirational Experiences on the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage
Monday, October 12, 2026 | 6:30 pm
Program Coordinator: Caroline Armstrong
Lambertville/New Hope resident and renaissance woman, Judy Detrano, will share her awe-inspiring experience walking 100 miles on the Camino de Santiago.
About three years ago, Judy was sitting at a café in a medieval village in southwest France when she saw an elderly man walk by with hiking sticks, a backpack, a sun hat and a clear sense of purpose in his step. Close behind two young women, similarly outfitted, walked by and a while later, yet another. “As if something was pulling me, I had to control myself to not get up from my chair and go with them.” In 2025, nearly 80 years of age, Judy finally answered the call of the Camino.

Kerry Cullen’s debut novel House of Beth is a haunting story of self doubt and angst that captures the horror that lives within us. The book is a departure from mainstream prose, very captivating in its telling. Kerry is a graduate of South Hunterdon High School which is what drew Cheryl to the Frenchtown bookstore to hear her interview of another young author.
